This panel of students will present sketches of LePageville’s past using tools of African-American literary writing—the African Praise poem, the Eintou, and the Bop. Drawing from primary documents such as death certificates, photos, and oral histories, these students exemplify that black ‘lines’ matter when history, culture, and vernacular merge.
